Recently, Professor Du Xuemin from Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as "Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology") was invited by the internationally famous journal "Research" to serve as the deputy editor-in-chief of the journal. He is mainly responsible for handling paper manuscripts related to the field of flexible electronics.
Research is co-founded by the China Association for Science and Technology and the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2018 and is positioned as a world-class, high-impact, comprehensive large-scale OA science and technology journal. It benchmarks against "Science" and "Nature" and is "Science" since 1880. This cooperative journal has been in existence since its inception. It mainly publishes breakthrough original research results in 11 hot cross-cutting fields including advanced energy, advanced manufacturing, advanced materials, artificial intelligence, environmental science, flexible electronics, health science, information science, micro-nano technology, quantum information, and space science. The editor-in-chief (China) is Bao Weimin, vice chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The editor-in-chief (international) is Cui Tianhong, an academician of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and a professor at the University of Minnesota. The journal has been included in the CAS, CNKI, CSCD, DOAJ, EI, SCIE, INSPEC, PMC, Scopus, SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System databases, and the impact factor in 2023 is 11.0.
Professor Du Xuemin is a winner of the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s Outstanding Youth Fund, an outstanding member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a top scientific and technological innovation youth talent in the “Special Support Plan” of Guangdong Province, and an outstanding young person in Shenzhen. He currently serves as the director of the Intelligent Medical Materials and Devices Research Center of Shenzhen Advanced Institute. The team he leads is mainly engaged in the research of intelligent medical materials and devices that meet the major needs of life and health. The research directions include intelligent polymer materials, neuromodulation and tissue engineering biomaterials, Bioelectronics, flexible sensing and actuators, etc. Based on the above research directions, its relevant results and corresponding authors (including co-authors) have been published in journals such as Science Advances, Matter, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, and National Science Review. The core technology has been authorized for more than 30 patents.
